WELCOME TO
THE 87TH BAKER COUNTY FAIR-HALFWAY

Labor Day weekend Aug. 30, 31 and Sept. 1 is a great time for families to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and big-time fun at the Baker County Fair and Panhandle Rodeo -- Strive to Create 2008.

Rodeo action is Saturday at 7 p.m., Sunday 2 p.m. and Monday 2:30 p.m. The Ranch Style Bronc Riding is a favorite event, as well as the Mule Races that will take place during the Sunday and Monday rodeo performances.

A parade will make its way down Main Street at 1 p.m. on Monday, following a Livestock Auction at 10 a.m. Dances will be held Saturday and Sunday evenings at 9 p.m. at the Pine Valley Grange.

There will be seven Idaho Cowboy Association and Professional Western Rodeo Association events featuring some of the top cowboys in the Pacific Northwest competing in the Championship Rodeo season. Saturday morning is Team Sorting and Team Doctoring. On Sunday following the rodeo,Team Roping will be held. An All-Around Saddle will be awarded to the cowboy or cowgirl who accumulates the most points by entering one rodeo event and the team events offered on Saturday and Sunday. Lee Daggett will be the announcer.

Lee has a great way of keeping spectators informed and entertained. His enthusiasm shows throughout the rodeo performances.

This year fair and rodeo fans will again enjoy a Midway with vendors and concessions, along with carnival rides and games for the kids. Fans will need to purchase a $3 Baker County Fair and Panhandle Rodeo button to enter the grounds.

Fair & Panhandle Rodeo Queen Alex Gulick, and Princesses Kristin and
Chelsea Gulick welcome everyone.
